Summary:
Directs the sales activities of the operation by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Essential Duties:
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all sales professionals and staff designated in the Sales Department.
- Directs sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
- Establishes annual and monthly objectives for sales managers and/or sales staff as well as the sales department.
- Leads the diversification of new sales focus for new industries and structures the department accordingly.
- Monitors sales individuals' productivity and performance and/or monitors sales management’s productivity and performance.
- Regularly communicates and trains with fulfillment and onboarding teams to stay updated on company changes and adjustments.
- Administers and monitors sales promotions and internal spiffs.
- Makes website recommendations based on feedback.
- Makes software recommendations to improve department expenses, efficiency, and productivity.
- Reviews market analysis and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential, and collaborates with marketing leadership on campaigns to accommodate organizational goals.
- Represents the sales department to the executive team.
- Provides input and analyzes expenditures to conform with budgetary requirements.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Attends executive meetings as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the sales department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training all positions in the sales department; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and corrective action; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
