Job Objective: To assist and educate families involved in the Pathway of Hope program in the areas of: daily life skills, household management, GED/HSED tutoring, and different parenting techniques & reinforcement in their housing unit and to provide transportation assistance to clients to appointments, classes and employment as needed. Work with clients in the home to teach and mentor daily living skills such as household management, budgeting, nutrition, organization and cleaning, parenting techniques, and general life skills. Facilitate instruction, lead training, or tutor clients on a variety of topics including nutrition classes (in collaboration with UW-Extension), A Better You, Rent Smart, GED/HSED prep, and other topics as appropriate. Perform a variety of administrative program functions to include record keeping, correspondence, phone calls and follow-up, and assistance with outcomes reporting. Transport clients to appointments, classes and employment and assist with activities with the children during classes. Assist case managers as needed, including attending introductory appointments, working on case goal action steps, and providing updates to case managers for case documentation. Facilitate and participate in Hygiene Drive and maintain storage closet and incentive items for program participants. Participate in Seasonal Programs as needed such as Tools for School, Coats for Kids, and Christmas Assistance programs.
