Automotive Service Advisor

Description of the role:

The Automotive Service Advisor at South Shore Kia in Copiague, New York is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations in the service department. They will act as a liaison between customers and the service technicians, ensuring that all their automotive needs are met.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist customers in scheduling service appointments and provide them with necessary information regarding the process.
2. Listen to customer concerns and accurately document the issues they are experiencing with their vehicles.
3. Communicate effectively with the service technicians to ensure that they have a clear understanding of the customer's requirements.
4. Provide customers with estimates of repair costs and timelines for completion.
5. Offer guidance and recommendations to customers regarding necessary repairs or maintenance.
6. Update customers on the progress of their vehicles and address any concerns or additional requests they may have.
7. Ensure that all paperwork and documentation related to service appointments is accurate and complete.
8. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing any issues or complaints.

Requirements:

1. Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an automotive service setting.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and service technicians.
3. A strong understanding of automotive systems and components.
4. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet customer and business needs.
5. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
6. Proficiency in computer systems and software used for scheduling and documentation.
