Responsibilities

In this role, you will be accountable for the accuracy of our top-line data quality metrics and tracking processes. Your responsibilities will largely fall into three areas:

  1. BI tools: comprehensive and accurate dashboards or other visualization to track our progress towards behavior data coverage, as well as internal-facing visualization for the health of our tools, delivery, or offline models.
  2. Data engineering: efficient and robust data pipelines that impact how “fresh” and “correct” our data is. You will work with our Data Platforms and Data Science teams to leverage best practices for design patterns, testing and documentation.
  3. Data modeling and analysis: given our business objectives, are the dashboards accurate? Are we tracking the right metrics? You will work with Autonomy leadership and ICs to provide the right data to inform decision making for our software releases, and any blindspots we might have.

Required Qualifications

  1. Experience with SQL and schema design.
  2. Experience with Data warehouse / management tools (e.g., Amazon Athena, Redshift, DBT, etc), and BI tools (e.g., Mode, Holistics, Looker Studio, etc).
  3. Experience developing software using Python.
  4. Experience developing in a Linux or Unix environment.

Desirable Qualifications

  1. Experience in Self Driving / Autonomy Driving or Robotics or Maps.
  2. Experience embedded with a product or consumer-facing team.
  3. Experience with ML development tooling and infrastructure.
  4. Experience with backend infrastructure (e.g., data pipelines, schema design/data models, distributed storage systems, backend microservices, API design).

The base salary range for this position is $92,000-$138,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
