Position Summary: Patient Care Coordinator for Audiologist. We are looking for a polite, articulate, confident, team player, reliable, and loyal individual.

Patient Care Coordinator for Audiologist provides administrative support, customer/patient service care, and limited marketing. Must have strong communication skills, the ability to self-start and manage projects, and possess a basic understanding of accounting procedures. Excellent organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage time effectively. Must be flexible to work between three main locations (Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga, and Glendora when needed).

Essential Functions:

  • Answer the telephone, schedule appointments, and register patients using (sycle.net).
  • Send and receive hearing devices for new deliveries and repairs.
  • Occasionally clean hearing aids and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Collect and record customer payments using (sycle.net).
  • Verify patients' insurance if needed (we have an insurance verification specialist).
  • Check the portal every day to make appointments for those with authorizations (if needed).
  • Occasionally make coffee or tea for patients if needed.
  • Answer basic questions to the biller regarding patients and communicate with the biller for updates.
  • Maintain patient intake forms, HIPAA forms, audiograms, etc., and scan all paperwork to our practice management software (sycle.net).
  • Call patients for updates.
  • Stay in touch with the biller, scheduler, and authorization department.
  • Respond to patient inquiries in person and over the phone in a friendly, calm, and polite manner.
  • Develop an understanding of the clinic to effectively address patient concerns.
  • Communicate patients' needs to providers.
  • Communicate with providers immediately about any issues that may arise.
  • Develop an understanding of insurance benefits to utilize for hearing testing and purchasing of hearing aids.
  • Keep patients informed regarding their insurance benefits.
  • Document all conversations regarding patients in Sycle.
  • Contact hearing aid manufacturers as needed.
  • Call FedEx to schedule pickups or give packages to providers for shipping.
  • Keep in touch with primary care physicians in the area and fax reports.
  • Check the e-fax.
  • Work closely with other team members.
  • Report to the supervisor as needed.

Other Functions:

  • Computer knowledge is required.
  • Excellent customer service ability.
  • Must exercise patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to type 30 words a minute.
  • Education: High School Graduate, Audiology Aid Certificate (not mandatory), CPR certified.
  • Experience: Audiology Clinic and Hearing Aid Dispensing Clinic.
  • Specific Skills: Bilingual (Spanish/Chinese), driver's license, and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18-$19, but if experienced in an Audiology clinic, willing to negotiate.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
