HR Business Partner, Technology

Type: Full-Time

Location: New York City, NY (Onsite 4 days per week, Mon-Thu)

Budget: $120-145K base, no bonus

Size: 600 employees globally, but this role will support 200 employees across Tech and Commercial Engineering

Role Overview:

The HR Business Partner, Technology, will serve as the primary HR point of contact for our technology population, partnering closely with leadership and employees in engineering, product development, IT, and commercial engineering to deliver high-impact HR advisory support. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs of a tech workforce within a scaling SaaS marketing technology company.

The HRBP will focus on day-to-day HR service delivery, with the support of an HR Operations team, and provide strategic guidance to support the growth and success of the tech teams. This individual will collaborate with talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards, and HR operations to ensure seamless HR support across the business, as well as play a key role in the maturation of the HR function as a business partner to the Technology organization globally. This role will report into the Chief People Office and will support ~200 employees across the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Service Delivery:

o Provide frontline HR support to the tech population, addressing employee inquiries, recruitment needs, performance management, and employee relations.

o Partner with the talent acquisition team to manage tech recruitment and internal mobility.

o Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, and support the rollout of new HR systems and practices.

  1. Strategic HR Partnership:

o Advise tech leaders on HR strategies that align with business objectives, including workforce planning, talent development, and retention strategies.

o Analyze HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.

  1. Employee Relations & Compliance:

o Handle complex employee relations issues, conducting investigations and ensuring resolutions that are fair and consistent with company policies.

o Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, particularly as they relate to the tech workforce.

  1. Collaboration & Integration:

o Work closely with HR teams across talent management, total rewards, and HR operations to deliver cohesive HR services.

o Collaborate with legal, finance, and other business functions to support the evolving needs of the tech teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an HR Business Partner, with significant experience supporting a tech population.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in a scaling tech (SaaS) business with a global footprint is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS and HR analytics tools, with the ability to leverage data to drive HR strategies.
  • Leadership: Strong advisory and coaching skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive HR initiatives.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to handle complex employee relations issues and deliver practical, business-aligned solutions.
