Responsibilities: • Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients • Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary • Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care • Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members • Assist with intervention for patients when a crisis occurs • Provide high-quality therapy to individuals on a mostly weekly basis • Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs • Maintain proper notes and documentation • Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems. Encourages clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives and helps them develop insight into themselves and their relationships • Create a safe space for clients to come to where they feel seen and heard • Evaluate the client's mental condition based on the review of client information. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge • Build a trusting relationship and rapport with clients • Offer resources and referrals when needed and necessary Qualifications: • Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and great communication and interpersonal skills • This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree • Requires CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications • Current and unrestricted state license as an LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) or equivalent • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and great communication and interpersonal skills • 1-3 years in a clinical setting working with mental health patients is required • Training and/or experience in treating anxiety and trauma-related disorders • EMDR training preferred • Must be a licensed LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist • Must be licensed in TX • Must be comfortable working remotely • Must be proficient in virtual technology Ex: Gmail, Zoom, electronic EHR, etc. Compensation: $56,000 - $81,000 yearly
