From hybrid schedules and flexible time off to training programs and mental wellness initiatives, we take care of our team.If you want to be in an environment where you can grow, feed your curiosity and make a difference, Wipfli is the place for you.Responsibilities:Lead and manage tax compliance engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards, within budget and deadline expectationsPlan and schedule tax engagements with clients and firm resourcesServe as the main tax point of contact within our firm for clientsTax Manager is responsible for clients receiving proactive communication and timely servicePerform detailed reviews of tax work papers and provision calculations completed by other associatesReview tax returns, tax research, tax communications, and other requested deliverablesCommunicate proactively with clients and engagement partners regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other significant matters in a timely mannerProvide training, direction, and supervision to staff and senior accountantsParticipate in and provide leadership for firm initiatives and projectsMaintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to industry specializationQualifications:Requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experienceCPA certification required in the respective state in which they are practicingRequires at 5+ years of job related experienceHigh Net Worth Individual tax experience requiredRequires prior accounting and/or tax experienceSubject matter leader in similar accounting and/or tax servicesManagement and/or mentoring experience with other staff membersExperience making recommendations to managementPrior public accounting experience desiredAmanda Feltner, from our recruiting team, will be guiding you through this process.
