The Opportunity

Are you passionate about helping SMBs improve their digital presence and marketing outcomes? Are you someone who deeply understands the challenges that SMBs and Solopreneurs face when launching, growing and/or maintaining their business? Perhaps someone who also has a keen business sense with the drive and hunger to bring a vision to life?

This is a position where you will build and launch a new product within Adobe working within an exciting org that is incubating next-generation ideas. You will work closely with your co-founder to lead a team of designers, prototypers, and engineers to bring to life a product, test it with customers and demonstrate product-market fit.

We are looking for a co-lead with lived expertise in SMB digital marketing – either as a business owner themselves or from the agency perspective – who wants to lead the business side of this new venture. This role is an outstanding opportunity to operate like a startup founder while having the resources of an innovative, large technology company. Join us for an opportunity to invent new technologies and supply a brand new Adobe product!

What you'll do

  1. Function as co-GM for a new incubation venture within Adobe.
  2. Design and implement a comprehensive product strategy focused on offering AI-powered digital marketing expertise to SMBs and Solopreneurs - from content creation to marketing optimization.
  3. Build and co-lead a small but mighty product team.
  4. Draw upon an executive leadership 'board' designed to support incubation efforts at Adobe.
  5. Lead market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to find opportunities and define product requirements.
  6. Work closely with SMBs to build deep customer empathy, including understanding current workflows and pain points.
  7. Build and maintain a user-centric product roadmap, identifying new product opportunities and prioritizing them based on user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  8. Craft a go-to-market plan to launch the product and get alpha/beta customers.
  9. Define and supervise key performance metrics to evaluate success and identify new avenues to pursue.
  10. Own the P&L for the product and run budget accordingly.

What's needed to succeed

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Confirmed experience (10+ years) in product management, product marketing, marketing, product strategy, or as a business GM. Preferably with experience building marketing solutions for SMBs and Solopreneurs or within a marketing agency.
  3. Ability to represent the voice of the customer and demonstrate empathy, resourcefulness and the ability to be solutions-focused in building & designing a user-centric product.
  4. Commitment to design-led thinking; strong ability to prioritize user experience and robust understanding of how intuitive, user-friendly products can drive superior engagement and success with SMBs & Solopreneurs.
  5. Deep understanding of digital marketing workflows and insight for small business owners and marketers trying to grow or lead their businesses online. You can see the opportunities that Generative AI offers to free up SMB owners to focus on developing their product. You can extrapolate from ongoing AI/ML developments to build a compelling product vision.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, balancing day-to-day blocking and tackling while seeing the forest from the trees. The role requires a mix of technical understanding, strategy, and people management. You are able to co-lead a cross-functional team and collaborate effectively with business partners.
  7. Passion for crafting exceptional experiences and driving business growth through delivering on SMB and Solopreneur needs.
  8. Consistent record of delivering successful products ahead of schedule.
  9. Deep relationship-building skills; you are able to form long-term relationships with Solopreneurs and SMBs, as well as with teams with Adobe to leverage the latest technology and build a user-centric product.
  10. Confirmed organizational skills, with the ability to run multiple threads simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  11. An unparalleled desire to take an idea from 0 to 1 especially within the marketing space.
