TasksCoordinate the process for cord blood collections with hospitals, physicians, and Labor and Delivery staff.Participate, as needed, in the cord blood collection and / or birth tissue collection and perform handling/labeling in accordance with procedures.Monitor incoming cord blood units and or birth tissue collections and prepare for transport.Coordinate and provide educational activities/materials for obstetricians, obstetrical offices staff, expectant mothers, and hospital nursing staff on cord blood collection procedures and birth tissue collection procedures.Review documentation related to collection.Utilize the data management system.Maintain adequate level of disposable supplies through request for purchase of additional supplies.Perform informed consent and medical/social history with all donors and ensure compliance all established guidelines/standards.Maintain annual training competencies for all required activities.Recognize unusual results and difficulties encountered in all phases of performances to include purchased goods, environmental, mechanical and product related.Assist with the development of collection procedures according to the applicable AATB, AABB, FACHT, ISO, FDA, and GMP standards.Validate all procedures performed thus providing for the safety and efficacy of products to include preventative maintenance.Maintain a close
