The Overnight Guest Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during the night shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and efficient hotel operations. This role includes supervising front desk staff, conducting night audits, managing reservations, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise and train front desk staff during overnight shifts.
- Perform nightly audits to ensure all financial transactions are accurate and in compliance with hotel policies.
- Manage check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for guests.
- Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and billing.
- Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to fulfill guest needs.
- Monitor security and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Prepare and distribute end-of-day reports to management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management preferred.
- Proven experience in a front desk or guest service role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Night auditing experience is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
