The Disaster Recovery (DR) Program is a key function of client IT overall, responsible for the alignment of application recovery capabilities to business continuity objectives. Our DR program needs your help while we expand our recovery plans and capabilities across the organization. The successful candidate will bring experience writing and reviewing recovery plans to help IT Application Owners publish plans that are clear, concise, and effective. An understanding of IT systems, networks, and cloud services is a requirement.
The Disaster Recovery Analyst role will be a member of a 2-person team, reporting to the Disaster Recovery Program Manager and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for building relationships and collaboration. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Sample Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform risk analysis to identify points of vulnerability and recommend disaster avoidance and reduction.
- Help publish new and updated recovery plans for IT applications in collaboration with IT Application Owners.
- Help IT Application Owners apply Disaster Recovery requirements to their applications by
- reviewing governance applicable to DR
- reviewing documented recovery plans for completeness and opportunities for improvement, and
- scheduling DR exercises.
- Participate as an observer and scribe during DR testing exercises to document the test scope, timing, success/failure results, and opportunities for improvement. This could include on-site work at a recovery site (candidate would need to provide their own transportation for this).
- Track key performance metrics for the Disaster Recovery Program and assist with reporting to IT Leadership.
About You
Required
- Four plus (4+) years of practical experience in IT Operations
- Two plus (2+) years of training or practical experience in Disaster Recovery
- Strong work ethic, great time management, and highly inclusive team player
- Effective verbal and written communicator, with excellent writing skills
- Authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
