Quality Assurance Engineer - W-2, Contract to Hire

• Hybrid in Irving, TX (DFW) 3 days per week onsite
• Contract to Hire - W-2

We are looking for a QA with strong & current/very recent experience in Backend testing & SQL. Must have experience testing applications in the .NET/Azure environment. This is a contract to hire position open to W-2 candidates. Please apply if this sounds like you!

Responsibilities:

• Consistently designs, codes, and debugs test software that deliver results without direct supervision.
• Create test estimates, test plans, test cases, and all test documentation
• Develop a requirements traceability matrix to track test cases to requirements
• Work with the engineering team(‘s) to convert manual testing practices into automated checks where possible.
• Ensure QA Environment is configured and maintained throughout the test cycle
• Document test case scenarios and installation procedures, as required
• Continue to refine current development and QA processes, ensuring that standards and industry defined practices are adhered to
• Requires basic knowledge of relational database and ability to write simple to moderately complex queries

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience
• Strong Backend Testing & SQL skills - Backend testing & SQL should be a top focus for you
• Testing applications in .Net / Azure environment
• Experience with all types of testing, including, but not limited to performance testing, UAT, and back-end testing
• Experience documenting test cases
• Experience creating and executing test plans and test cases/scripts from scratch
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
