Job Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for providing marketing support for the U.S. and Canada businesses including but not limited to assisting with pre-sale efforts (developing pitch materials) and post-sale client support (facilitating material delivery and approvals, supporting bespoke promotional opportunities), as well as supporting events. This position will work closely with cross-functional groups within Global Distribution and provide overall support for the Marketing team when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Support: Strengthen relationships and collaboratively work with the U.S. and Canada sales teams in creating opportunities, implementing strategies for growth and improving customer relations. Provide the U.S. and Canada Sales teams with the tools they need to sell NBCU programming by creating and customizing pitch decks and sell sheets, compiling talking points, requesting screening rooms, completing research projects and other tasks as assigned.
  • Client Support: Serve as a NBCUniversal brand ambassador and support licensees’ campaigns by fielding requests for marketing materials and fielding a heavy volume of approvals over custom creative, including liaising with internal NBCU Marketing, Publicity, Sales and Legal when needed.
  • FAST Channels: Take ownership of select client relationships or brand projects to support marketing for NBCU’s suite of FAST Channels.
  • Event Support: Support Global Distribution events and markets, particularly focused on North America strategy. Events include both high end external (client-facing) & more casual internal events of varying guest counts.
  • Special Projects: Contribute to brainstorming, production and execution of additional projects including but not limited to promotional/premium item, holiday gift program, special presentations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience
    • Entertainment or media experience highly preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Desired Characteristics

  • Rudimentary understanding of film and television business and marketing legal.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc. a plus
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to navigate nuanced scenarios with multiple outcomes.
  • Self-motivated and solutions oriented with a track record of effective problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to independently coordinate and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
  • Keen attention to detail with strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels in organization and with clients.
  • Positive attitude and team player, willing to jump in to assist teammates when needed.
  • Must be able/willing to travel and work long hours and weekends during events.
