We're hiring a Senior Business Systems Manager reporting to the VP of Business IT, Wholesale. Successful candidates are hands-on technologists with high business acumen; experience in recognizing business needs, designing, developing and launching technology solutions. Activities include gathering and compiling user requirements, developing and analyzing data in support of business cases, projects and systems requirements, in addition to, delivering support, guidance and software configurations to ensure efficient and effective utilization of software programs.

This position is based in Waltham, MA office.

Management

  • Oversees a team responsible for gathering business requirements and conducting needs assessments.
  • Ensures team activities in IT solutions that support business objectives.
  • Reviews specifications, statements of work, project plans prior to kick off.

Project Management

  • Defines project scope, deliverables, timelines and resources that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforces and redefines as necessary, communicates changes to project team and stakeholders.

System Analysis, Development & Support

  • Configures scripts, applications and workflows to create new or enhance functionality.
  • Collaborates in the design, development and deployment of applications and enhancements.
  • Works with peers, clients and 3rd parties in resolving software problems.
  • Provides end-user support, release/upgrade management, testing, and user training.
  • Creates user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation.
  • Provides orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

Business Analysis

  • This position will focus on the role and the adoption and support of new technologies at Global.
  • Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and business processes.
  • Ensures all system control processes are followed and compliant with corporate policies.
  • Supports solution design sessions to enhance business processes and operations.
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams and charts to translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years' managing and supporting an ETRM system. (Examples: RightAngle, Endur, Allegro)
  • 5+ years' experience with coordinating and overseeing client deliverable products, including functional and/or technical specification and authoring documents and briefings.
  • A forward-looking, run to the work, problems are opportunities mentality.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of relational databases such as SQL and Oracle.
  • Outstanding customer service & communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years working in a company with greater than 500 employees.
  • Experience with IT Audit/Sarbanes-Oxley/Cyber Security compliance, a plus.

Education Requirement

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University.
  • Preferred: Certifications in one or more of the following disciplines: ITIL, Six Sigma, Project Management, Business Analysis, Application or Infrastructure Design, Development, Administration or Support.
