As a Lead Engineer - Technology Support, you are responsible for driving initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. You will have a comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in your area of expertise.

As a Lead Engineer - Technology Support (SSPS), you will be responsible for:

  • Working with product teams (commercial and engineering) to conduct root cause analysis to identify quality issues and proactively lead implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
  • Leading safety analysis, proactively and reactively for all products of the company.
  • Identifying product or location specific TRS requirements that impact the business.
  • Supporting business transactions with technical regulations & standards issues.
  • Managing product certifications with qualified third parties/agencies as needed.
  • Reviewing technical acceptability of supplier objective compliance evidence.
  • Implementing processes required for executing compliance of TRS and Safety.
  • Monitoring legislation, directives, and regulations changes concerning TRS.
  • Raising legislation interpretations with the Chief Engineer.
  • Training and mentoring the business on Technical Regulations & Standards requirements and compliance processes.
  • Assisting with the development of rigorous standardized practices and procedures for Oil & Gas to ensure requirements are executed and maintained.
  • This position requires you to travel domestically and internationally 20%.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ experience working as a Lead Technical Engineer or 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • 3 years’ experience leading safety analysis for all products of the company.
  • 3 years’ experience dealing with technical regulations and standards on a global basis.
  • 3 years’ experience leading root cause analysis and operational safety analysis using standard tools.
  • Experience gathering and generating data to present findings to clients and upper management.
  • Six Sigma green or black belt is preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 20%.

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams, coordinating several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills, with proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Experience using industry tools such as Apollo, SAFER, and interpreting results.
  • Familiarity with design and installation of surface well completion products.
