Reference #: 5001073282400 Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for an Inventory Specialist to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA. As an Inventory Specialist, this candidate will oversee and support the production and receiving departments along with maintaining a strong relationship with the logistics group. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that will report directly to the Dayshift Production Manager. The ideal candidate can expect to work 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, with additional hours needed during end of month and end of year counting cycles. Key Responsibilities Acts as back up to the Receiving Supervisor and assist with end of cycle counting and interoffice deliveries. Assists with systematically and physically unloading raw materials due into Plant 3. Possesses working knowledge of ADP, D365, Yard Management and EAM systems. Ability to lead and assist end of month and/or end of year inventory. Documents discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts. Assists with ordering, scheduling, and receiving unloads of materials and components. Establishes and maintains communication with the production scheduler. Tracks, documents, and corrects scanning errors. Ensures ample amounts of materials and components, orders as needed, for scheduled production. Performs daily audits of systematic locations to ensure accuracy. Ability to obtain and safely operate a forklift. Keeps management informed of the status of material variances that impact production. Prepares daily reports, and others as needed. Promotes an environment conducive to teamwork and line-driven accountability. Completes special projects, duties, and assignments as appropriate. Writes and follows up on work orders as necessary. Participates in or leads Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety audits regularly. Adheres to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, such as GMP, HACCP, and all food safety rules.
