Senior Accountant

Our client is a business services firm. They seek a Senior Accountant to join their Melville, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
• Prepare and submit financial statements
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close
• Produce financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
• Support budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
• Maintain and reconcile internal balance sheet schedules
• Carry out ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Public or private accounting background
• Analytical and detail-oriented
• Advanced Excel skills
