Under limited supervision of the Director Care Management, the Manager of Care Management plays a critical role in the oversight and daily management of the Case Managers and Social Workers.
Responsible for establishing appropriate staffing levels and work assignments, developing performance criteria for staff, serving as an expert resource on financial outcomes, policies and operational procedures, and ensuring that the operations of the Care Management department are consistent with University of Maryland Medical Center organizational standards.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing and/or Master's Degree in Social Work and LCSW-C licensure. Five years of experience in care coordination (acute/post-acute/ambulatory) with demonstrated proficiency of all related skills and knowledge base, including electronic programs, regulatory requirements, payer requirements, related risk management issues and discharge information..
- Previous experience in progressive leadership or successful project implementation.
