POSITION DESCRIPTION
Our ideal candidate will oversee operations and management of a corporate Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea cafe that fosters a fun environment and generates bottom line profits. Be ready to handle high volume and dynamic and youthful staff & guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and lead cafes to excel in service, quality, and profit goals.
- Maintain and implement quality standards in all beverages, food products, operations, and guest service.
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and coordinate the work of 35 plus team members ages 17 and older.
- Manage and actively participate in marketing for the cafes including creating events, managing social media, and leading local store marketing.
- Manage finances including cost percentages, budget, and payroll.
- Manage inventory and ordering.
- Develop initiatives to build sales, profitability, and guest counts.
- Foster teamwork, continually initiate team building opportunities, and provide a positive, goal-oriented work environment.
- Ensure the aesthetics of the cafés deliver a premium atmosphere to guests.
- Adhere to all health department, OSHA, and ADA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Hospitality experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to identify and implement improvement strategies with positive business results.
- Ability to set expectations, measure effectiveness, enforce quality standards, and meet commitments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lead and coach others – possesses a passion for training and leading by example.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
- A strong work ethic and a positive, fun attitude about work and life. Loves to laugh and create a positive team environment.
- Servsafe certified.
SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of basic food service practices, protocols, and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, co-workers, general public, and management.
- Knowledge of how to read and use P&L statements to optimize operations.
- Impeccable service standards and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and efficiency skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
- Actively promote a positive and productive work environment.
- A sense of humor with an easy-going yet driven personality.
