In this role, you will be a key member of the ICONIQ Growth Team. Specifically, you will sit on our Analytics team and support our Portfolio Engagement efforts by delivering data-driven analyses that will inform ICONIQ Growth portfolio companies across various aspects of business operations and best-in-class performance.

You will have the opportunity to collect and analyze a breadth of data types across various topics to inform decision-making processes across our portfolio companies, the investment team, and ICONIQ Growth more broadly. This will include both primary and secondary research, creatively leveraging publicly available sources, and partnering with our portfolio companies. This role will require independent problem solving, action orientation, efficient execution, and a passion for delivering operational excellence in a growth setting. The ideal candidate has a passion for data analytics, storytelling, and foundation building with an eye towards building out infrastructure that will allow us to improve the processes through which we use this data on a regular basis. They should be a self-driven learner with an effective communication style and strong project management skills.   • Lead and collaborate on various high-impact projects to support our portfolio of high-performing technology companies including:
  • Specific analysis and benchmarking of key operational indicators
  • Broader thought-leadership across topics such as financial performance, IPO readiness, organizational structure and compensation, GTM strategy, and more
  • Custom advisory projects for portfolio companies
  • Data partnerships with portfolio companies
  • Build deep relationships and work directly with various stakeholders at both junior and senior levels within our portfolio companies
  • Capture both qualitative and quantitative data across various primary and secondary research initiatives – including collection and analysis of portfolio company data, interviews with industry leaders and subject matter experts, review of public filings, and design and analysis of proprietary surveys
  • Oversee and support the optimization of portfolio data collection, aggregation, and enrichment processes
  • Support the build-out of proprietary models and data visualization tools driven from portfolio company data to drive benchmarking efforts and performance analyses
  • Help develop new forms of communication and distribution of content – including but not limited to supporting workshops, panels, forums, and webinars as well as other external facing events and publications
  • Aid in marketing content creation for both internal and external audiences – including the opportunity to develop personal voice and platform through ICONIQ Growth blog posts, videos, and speaking opportunities
  • Support and/or spearhead various internal strategic projects including content generation, quarterly reporting, internal & external communication, fundraising, and much more
  • Help identify areas for improvement and potential strategic initiatives to enhance our Portfolio Engagement efforts and investment platform

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant industry experience in technology, consulting, or business operations / strategy
  • Quantitative background and demonstrated success at solving ambiguous problems in a highly analytical environment with applications to higher-level business strategy and operations
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and other tools with limited oversight
  • Extremely high attention to detail and strong quality control practice
  • Proficiency working with data in excel, including data modeling and structuring best practices
  • Tableau, and/or other data analysis and visualization tools proficiency preferred but not required
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with passion for building and crafting the evolving vision of this team and role
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and willingness to take on a variety of challenging projects
  • Eager to learn and further develop broad set of skills and content expertise
  • Desire for ownership and personal impact that can be found only within a small and growing team
  • Strong project management skills – able to juggle multiple projects at once in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong interpersonal, management, organizational, and communication skills and comfort interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Direct project experience leading both primary and secondary research efforts
  • Passion for and experience working either directly or indirectly in the technology sector – familiar with key business models, market dynamics, strategic priorities a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree and excellent academic background

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role, together with other compensation being offered such as a discretionary bonus, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $110,000 – $165,000 together with a discretionary bonus, health insurance, paid time off, 401k participation with a company matching program, wellness stipend, personal education allowance as well as a commuter benefits program.
