The Department of Physiology invites candidates for an open rank tenured-track /tenured faculty position in all areas of modern physiology.
The Department of Physiology at UCLA has a strong tradition of excellence in biophysics, membrane transport, neuroscience, cardiovascular research, and structural biology. Candidates studying fundamental mechanisms in all areas of modern physiology, at the molecular, cellular, organ, or systems level are welcome to apply. Those leveraging new advances in data science, multi-omics analysis, or imaging to address important questions in biomedical science or complex physiological systems are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, and are expected to have a strong track record of research achievements and a demonstrated interest in tackling outstanding biological problems using state-of-the-art approaches.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program and participate in the teaching mission of the Department for medical, dental, and graduate students. We welcome candidates whose experience in teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The salary range for this position is $118,000 - 309,800. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
