To provide support to the staff by coordinating employee work schedules and facilitating communication about patient appointments. Customer service-focused, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are necessary to create a staff schedule balancing staff credentials and competencies.

Essential Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Maintain computerized scheduling calendar with designated employee work patterns.
  2. Communicate unit shift needs via multimedia modalities.
  3. Broadcast critical work information via scheduling software and other media as needed.
  4. Add and delete employees to scheduling software as needed to maintain accurate employee census as the patient census fluctuates.
  5. Answer incoming calls to triage and schedule appointments for patients which may or may not require altering the staff schedule.
  6. Maintain excellent communication with nurses, CNAs, and the Director as well as other schedulers in the Dr. Offices to ensure that all scheduling maintains necessary ratios.
  7. Assist the Director in monitoring and updating biweekly payroll.
  8. Assist Director in tracking and coordinating holiday work schedule requirements per Maryville policy.
  9. Schedule and track medication deliveries under the direction of the Director/Charge Nurse to support pharmacy inventory.
  10. Work in collaboration with the staff to schedule outside tests, appointments, and transportation.
  11. Record all scheduled appointments on the appointment calendar in the nurse's station and on the T drive.
  12. Maintain a list of parents/guardians training requirements. Schedule parents/guardians for patient care training and appointments.
