How you can help make a better world of work

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Team Employee Profile within the Unify Habits unit at Culture Amp. This team oversees the development of an assistant tool integrated across our platform, enhancing employee experiences during reviews, one-on-one meetings, and other performance management activities. The tool provides timely, comprehensive insights into employee achievements, streamlining these processes.

The primary focus for Team Employee Profile this year will be refining our framework and collaborating with various teams at Culture Amp. The aim is to integrate their data into our expanding range of data products.

At Culture Amp, software engineering is a collaborative effort. Our teams are cross-functional, follow Agile methodologies, and support remote and flexible work options. As a Senior Engineer, you will join a team of skilled engineers, a product manager, and a designer, all working together towards common objectives.

This position is based in San Francisco only. Fully remote applications will not be considered.

You will

  • Write clean, scalable, testable code and love working as a Full-Stack Engineer
  • Share knowledge from your team with other engineers via documentation, blogposts, brown bags etc.
  • Coach other developers in the team - you love to share your knowledge
  • Collaborate with other engineers in your team through pair programming, writing solution designs, and providing feedback on pull requests, to build shared understanding of your work
  • Partner with other engineers across teams to understand how changes you make positively impact their domains.
  • Maintain and support the services your team is responsible for. Ensure our systems are secure, observe and understand services in production, and refactor and improve existing code to assist our customers.

You have

  • Experience with Ruby (essential) and React, or other modern programming languages
  • Experience in building web-based software applications, and understanding of fundamental engineering concepts, scalability, security, and maintenance.
  • Data modelling skills
  • Experience/knowledge of AWS (highly desirable not essential)
  • Experience evolving existing systems to make them simpler, more observable, and more maintainable.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is listed below. The range is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual skills, capabilities and experience, objectively assessed during the interview process.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package will include additional components such as equity and benefits. For sales roles, your package may also include sales commission. US Salary Range

$156,000 — $182,000 USD
