Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of Company safety, health, and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed.
- Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (“EH&S”), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.
- Must follow directions from Manager(s).
- Inspect facilities and all production machines periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance requirements.
- Prepare weekly machine maintenance schedules and allocate work to maintenance team members.
- Lead outside tradesman as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts, materials, and tools needed and report to manager(s).
- Ensure tasks delegated by manager(s) are carried out and verify processes are being done correctly through the shift.
- Assist production operators with machines and processes when necessary.
- Ensure PPE standards are being adhered to and perform checklist duties daily.
- Handle assorted projects when tasked.
- Communicate any issues that arise effectively to manager(s).
- Ensure safe operation of machines by all employees while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Back up to Maintenance manager as needed.
Additional Requirements
- Math skills
- Ability to operate material handling and tools required to perform tasks.
- Must be flexible – OT and weekend are required as needed.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent trade school
Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate a forklift and/or material handling equipment for 2-3 years
Physical Requirements - Essential
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (varied based on daily tasks).
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
