As a Sales Operations Specialist and Proposal Writer, you will be responsible for creating compelling proposal content and other business-related materials. In this role, you will focus on understanding and representing Planon to our key prospects, including the company’s mission, strategy, core products and services, partner solutions, pricing, and future technology roadmap. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer, detail-oriented, resourceful, collaborative, and capable of working under strict deadlines.

Flexibility, time management, the ability to multi-task, and a team-driven mindset are crucial.

In this role you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for prospective customers, establishing on-going communication throughout the bid process.
  • Organize and lead Bid Go/No Go meetings, proposal status meetings, and review sessions
  • Manage RFP responses from start to finish, including detailed assessment of requirements, assembling the appropriate SMEs to respond, gathering necessary content and supporting materials, providing accurate information, creating response documents, managing deadlines, assisting with price quotes, etc.
  • Create compliance matrices and schedules for proposal efforts
  • Meet strict deadlines (internal and external) by establishing priorities and target dates for research, writing, editing, reviews, and approvals
  • Write and edit RFP responses, maintaining consistent style and writing standards
  • Assist Sales Executives to develop and write company history briefs, and other business-related materials as needed
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to draft technical content
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the subject matter and customer requirements to tailor responses to RFPs and other inquiries
  • Assist sales executives with deal close process
  • Assist with generating sales team metrics and reporting
  • Complete online research about prospects as required
  • Monitor websites for public proposal postings
  • Maintain up-to-date company information in corporate online proposal system and team library; continuously update and improve proposal content based on product improvements, upgrades, partnerships, and ever-changing product roadmap
