The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the technology strategy and implementation across the organization. This role involves leading IT initiatives, managing technology resources, and ensuring that the organization's technology infrastructure aligns with its goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the organization's overall goals.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to leverage opportunities.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively.
Project Management:
  • Oversee IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Implement best practices for project management and governance.
Infrastructure Management:
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards.
Cybersecurity:
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect sensitive data and IT systems.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Communicate IT strategies and projects to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring:
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT operations and measure success against them.
  • Regularly report on IT performance and progress to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leadership.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budget management and strategic planning.
  • TraumaSoft experience is a plus.
