Job Summary
Set-up, Operate, Monitor and Maintain milling, drilling, grinding, welding and polishing machines in the manufacturing of cutterhead and shaver knives to support Newman's expansive woodworking portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations and wear PPE
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints and instructions
• Use high precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
• Attention to detail and ability to adjust machines to meet specifications
• Good math, mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Assist other areas of organization with completing projects

Qualifications

• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• General knowledge of reading diagrams and blueprints
• General maintenance skills and working with tools
• Good communication skills
• Team-oriented with ability to interact with personnel at all levels
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Willingness to learn and open to feedback and continuous improvement
• Adhere to all industry safety standards

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing, sitting, bending and stretching to perform various job duties.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. (on a limited basis)
• Frequently positions self to kneel, crouch, or stoop to work on machines.

• Constantly uses basic tools and hands/fingers to handle and adjust controls on machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is an hourly position. The hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. Overtime and weekends may be required based on business needs.
