Job Description

In this position, you will drive the biomolecular characterization to support platform development as well as product QC. You will be focusing on bioanalytical assay development to characterize mRNA integrity, capping efficiency, modification, LNP profiles, etc. Expertise/experience in HPLC and Mass spec is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • HPLC based assay development for mRNA purity, integrity etc.
  • mRNA capping efficiency characterization
  • mRNA polyA tail analysis based on HPLC methods
  • mRNA integrity analysis after formulation
  • HPLC/MS based methods to analyze lipid composition
  • Analytical tool kit development to characterize long term stability of drug product
  • Analytical assay development and writeup for tech transfer with CDMO collaborators
  • Preliminary data analysis and interpretation
  • Meeting strict project deadlines on assigned projects
  • Presenting data internally in different group meetings
  • Assisting with other Preclinical projects as needed

Required Skills

  • Ph.D./M.S. in analytical chemistry, biology or related discipline
  • Minimum of 0-3 years (Scientist), 4-6 years (Senior scientist), 6-8+ years (Principal Scientist) of bioanalytical experience in industry
  • Extensive experience in HPLC, mass spec, and other analytical tools
  • Experience in tech transfer with CDMO is highly preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivated, team-oriented and able to work independently
  • Attention to detail supported by excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to approach complex problems creatively and develop innovative solutions
