Halff has an opening for a CADD Technician to join our Bridge / Structural Engineering group based out of our Richardson, TX office location. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of experience as a Bridge / Structural CADD Technician working on bridge and building structures. This position requires someone who will be a self-starter and who has experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads and/or OpenBridge. Bridge / Structural CADD Technician Responsibilities:
  • Review project design documents prepared by engineers and ensure redlines are incorporated into document drafts
  • Assist in the production of construction documents for both building and bridge structures
  • Assist in planning and design of structural projects
  • Work as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Utilize Halff CAD standards and procedures to create quality deliverables
  • Use CAD software to prepare structural plans and details for construction documents

Bridge / Structural CADD Technician Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Bridge / Structural CADD Technician working on bridge and building structures
  • Ability to work independently as a self-motivator and as part of a team
  • Solid relationship and team building skills
  • Experience in MicroStation, OpenRoads and OpenBridge are preferred
  • Work with project team for engineering support and production of documentation
  • CAD certification or Associates degree desired, but on the job training is acceptable
