Job Requirements / Description

  • B.S. or B.A. in business administration, sales, or marketing (or three years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry)
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive or in other sales/customer service role
  • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles a plus
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Reporting to the Oahu Sales Manager, responsible for retaining and growing existing revenue streams
  • Develop a pipeline of new sales and tactical opportunities with assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Operations team to develop robust account plans and ensure accounts are supported.
  • Manage relationships and partnerships with existing customers to achieve sales targets.
  • Assist with contract negotiation and ongoing contract management
  • Develop and execute a strategy for each customer to maximize revenue.
  • Customer visitations as per the servicing plan
  • Participate in gap reviews involving relevant customers
  • Ongoing monitoring of market trends, customer performance, revenue contribution, and growth
  • Keep the DHX management team informed of communications with customers and industry developments
  • Effectively represent DHX internally and externally, including participation in relevant industry functions and conferences
  • Build a culture of high performance within the sales team including sharing and developing best practices and effectively contributing to building knowledge within the team
  • Other duties as assigned or directed
