What is special about this role?
The Digital Marketing and Communications Manager at Helix will play a critical role in defining the voice at Helix by developing and executing our digital and communications strategy with healthcare systems and life sciences organizations. From optimizing our marketing channel mix to auditing and helping to manage and develop our content for lead generation, to finding creative ways to drive engagement and awareness with healthcare decision-makers, this role has both a strong strategy and execution component.
As a Digital Marketing and Communications Manager, you will:
- Own our overall digital channel strategy in order to increase engagement with current and future B2B customers.
- Lead the development of Helix’s enterprise-focused digital strategy across paid, owned and earned channels with the goals of growing brand awareness and driving lead generation, acquisition and conversion.
- Own the execution of your strategy, including gathering input and feedback from key stakeholders, developing and managing the editorial calendar, and helping to create content (blogs, case studies, testimonials, press releases, etc.) along with other marketers, vendors and cross-functional teammates.
- Manage the distribution of content through Helix’s owned channels, including:
- The Helix website and blog.
- Email communications to leaders at healthcare systems and life sciences organizations.
- Additionally, manage the distribution of content across third party channels, including paid social platforms like LinkedIn and/or professional associations or groups for which our customer prospects are members.
- Set and be held accountable to brand awareness metrics and a certain level of marketing and sales qualified leads each quarter, in partnership with product marketing managers focused on individual business lines.
- Main point of contact and expert for our prospecting platform, responsible for deploying outreach programs in collaboration with inside sales from each business line.
- Regularly perform data cleanup in our analytics tools in order to measure and monitor the impact of our efforts in each channel and continuously execute iterations to optimize our strategy.
- Partner with other marketers to select and prioritize external conference sponsorships, identifying and executing ways to drive awareness / lead generation at these events.
- Manage campaign budgets, deadlines, and regular reporting of marketing activities.
About you:
- Mission-oriented, with a deep passion for improving people’s lives through DNA.
- 5+ years of marketing experience working in the healthcare and/or life sciences space.
- Ability to strategize and execute, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong understanding and experience with using digital marketing channels for demand generation, with an understanding of how to measure quantifiable impact and iterate to optimize.
- Resourcefulness/willingness to find that third way to get things done early with maximal impact; thrives in a high growth environment.
- Strong understanding of how to best prioritize and manage your own time with minimal management oversight, despite dynamic company changes.
- Ability to communicate both clinical and scientific content in a digestible format, including in written form for short pieces like blogs, social posts and press releases.
- Willingness to contribute in a variety of ways, even if outside formal responsibilities.
- BA or BS required, Masters preferred.
- Fluency in English.
Pluses:
- Deep knowledge of the digital marketing industry and its role in healthcare.
- Knowledge of and experience working with Hubspot, Salesforce, Sanity, Vercel, Apollo, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, X and other website platforms/marketing tools.
- Experience in PR and corporate communications.

Expected Pay For This Role:
Expected Helix Base: $103,000 - $139,000 annually
Expected Helix Discretionary Annual Bonus: 10% of your annual salary

The salary range above is our reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role across US locations. Actual starting pay will be based on non-discriminatory job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
What To Expect During Your Onboarding Week:
We want to make sure your first week is spent learning the foundations. You will be invited to live orientation sessions and spend time with your hiring manager developing your individual roadmap to success. This experience will include sessions that cover your benefits, security & privacy training, an introduction to the OKR framework used at Helix and our communication tools and norms.
What To Expect During Your First 90 days:
First 30 days: you’ll spend time learning the Helix way, completing training and onboarding for your roles, and getting introduced to your team and relevant stakeholders. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of our customers, our products, the impact we make in the lives of our communities, and how to thrive at Helix through participation in Helix U.
Day 30 - 60: you’ll spend time contributing to projects, deeply familiarizing yourself with team and company processes, and developing a deeper understanding of Helix’s products, services and capabilities.
Day 60 - 90: you’ll build your OKRs with your manager, start to take ownership of projects and initiatives on your team, and begin to demonstrate your impact on the Helix mission.
