DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: WELDER I
  • Produce welded assemblies from fabricated components per custom or stock specifications.
  • Welding in a variety of metals using a combination of MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
  • Positions, aligns, fits and welds parts using common weld shop tooling (jigs, welding equipment and hand tools).
  • Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications, using square, ruler and measuring tape.
  • Owning and using own set of tools as required by the program.
  • Understanding proper safety and abiding by all quality rules instructed.
  • Resolving problems using established procedures and common sense.
  • Creating solutions, procedures and policies while working with various departments.
  • Intermediate understanding of assigned work order/stage requirement and goals
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: WELDER IV
  • Advanced understanding of all work order/stage requirement and goals.
  • Being fully reliable and able to share knowledge with peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish assigned tasks on schedule and on/under budget.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex weld/fab related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES: WELDER I - IV
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum experience
    1. Welder I: One- year experience in welding environment
    2. Welder IV: Four-Five years' experience in aluminum welding environment
  • Intermediate ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, recognizing welding symbols and specifications.
  • Successful completion of certification to minimum of two WPS (Welder I) and/or four WPS (Welder IV)
  • Basic Math skills and Mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have excellent attendance.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to work in limited spaces
  • Strong communication skills and effective at building relationships at all levels
  • Energetic, motivated and goal oriented. Works well in a fast paced, team environment
  • Focus on detail and accuracy in all efforts. Quick learner and resourceful
  • Prior experience in a small organization, demonstrating abilities with multiple objectives and multitasking efforts.
WORKING CONDITIONS : ALL WELDER RANGES
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment where exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools, dust, fumes and airborne particles, temperature extremes and elevated noise level.
  • Employees must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and or move more than 75 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to strand, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protection and work boots.
