A Westside startup is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. In this role, the Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for inventory, CIP, fixed assets, capitalized labor, and doing it all from a technical accounting perspective of the parameters around a public company environment. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accounting Manager should be able to work in fast-paced environment, be able to work with operations, and be able to work in a team. What do you need in this Senior Accounting Manager role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 15-20 years of accounting experience (audit background preferred)
- Must have public company experience
- Must have experience in inventory and fixed assets
- Must have experience as a Manager and supervising others
- CPA highly preferred
- Ensure accounting compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies
- Oversee fixed assets, inventory, revenue, leases, and financial reporting
- Oversee assigned sections of month-end close
- Manage internal labor capitalization, CIP, and inventory
- GL reconciliations, rollforwards, and variance analysis
- Balance sheet and income statement analysis
- Month end accruals and journal entries
- Support financial reporting and technical accounting when needed
- Assist with system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements
- Support the financial statement audit
- Ad hoc projects and reporting
- Have recruited experienced executives to support company growth

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
