Our Team is look for a Server Assistant . They will be responsible for ensur ing that all guests’ expectations are consistently met by exceeding The Press Club Grill Standards. The Server Assistant’s responsibilities include preparing and refilling beverages, assisting servers with processing payments, removing trash, and sanitizing restaurant menus. Server Assistant’s should also be able to perform and-of-day clean-up duties.
JOB OVERVIEW:
- Stock service stations in dining room, kitchen, and bar, including but not limited to c hina , glassware, cutlery, serviettes, condiments, POS supplies, beverage products, and linens.
- Polish glassware, cutlery, and other service ware in preparation for meal service.
- Clean glass surfaces, tabletops, service counters, floors and furniture as required prior to, during, and after meal service to guests in dining areas.
- Transport tables, chairs and other furniture as required in preparation for meal service to guests in dining areas.
- Observe and communicate with servers and guests to respond to any additional needs and confirm with the server when courses and meal have been completed and assist with clearance.
- Brew coffee, prepare, and stock beverages.
- Clear and reset tables after guests have vacated per the standard procedure.
- Check tables to ensure appropriate cutlery and condiments are in place for service; assist in marking table by position prior to each course as required or requested by server.
- Perform assigned duties to prepare dining room and service areas for each meal period, and perform assigned break down duties at end of service to guests
- Communicate problems with physical space and equipment to supervisors and managers immediately .
- Relate guest feedback to restaurant service employees, restaurant management and kitchen, in a timely and appropriate manner .
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization and sanitation of restaurant guest and work areas during the shift including restrooms, employee locker room, bar, kitchen, and service stations.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and service operations to ensure timeliness of restaurant service.
- Promptly and courteously return food and beverage items refused by guests directly to kitchen or bar.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests within time frame designated .
- Attend restaurant pre-shift and training meetings, as well as required restaurant meetings and training sessions.
- Inspect guest dining areas, service area including kitchen, bar and storage areas, and employee break rooms .
- Provide service, as instructed by restaurant management, in bar/lounge areas.
- Ensure appropriate quantity , condition, and cleanliness of all mise en place prior to and during meal services. This includes but is not limited to wiping down and stacking designated plates, and other service ware; preparing bread service; portioning butter; slicing, chopping, peeling, rinsing, cleaning or otherwise preparing food and beverage ingredients for service.
- Assist in other areas of the restaurant or departments as directed.
- Report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions to relevant departments.
