The Information Technology team equips our colleagues with the latest tools to complete their work efficiently and with the highest standards of excellence. The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals.

How you will create an impact

A manager level role that oversees and works on end-to-end execution of data architecture and data modeling/ontology creation for several large or mid-sized business applications for multiple geographies and/or mid-sized programs. Also oversees components of larger data architecture projects/programs - more specifically:

1. Creates and manages the reference architecture, associated artifacts, data models, ontologies, and design principles for the information layer.
2. Defines and drives information lifecycle management for area of responsibility, particularly the management of data architecture features, user stories and tasks associated with business application delivery.
3. Meticulously documents Data Architecture systems and processes updates.
4. Takes the lead and responsibility to educate every onboarding team member on needs and importance of following Data Governance standards, and involving the Data Architecture team early in the analysis and development process.
5. Partners with project teams to design, create, and re-use enterprise information assets, services, infrastructure, and business systems.
6. Strictly complies with the processes and procedures for ensuring data security and privacy compliance with information policies and practices.
7. Works with Data Office Data Governance team to ensure the processes and procedures for data quality, integrity and "fit-for-purpose" process and procedures are being adhered to.
8. Ensures practices enable advancements in business performance.
9. Monitors and analyzes new market and industry developments for potential applicability to business needs.

As a leader, you are specialized into multiple sub-functional data domain areas:

1. Ontology/Data modeling: Conceptualize and design ontologies and data models.
2. Reporting and Analytical data assets: Conceptualize and design Data assets and data interfaces including Warehouses and Marts.
3. Data Integration: Identify and prescribe solution specific means and tools for data integration.
4. NoSQL: Prescribe, design, and implement assets with NoSQL, Document DB, Graph DB and other technologies.
5. Master Data: Manage MDM data design across all mastered data domains.
6. Reference Data: Manage Reference data design across all data domains.
7. LLM/AI: Understand and design data architecture and ontologies that support our enterprise standards around ontology/AI design.

What you will need to succeed

1. Minimum of Bachelors, Preferred Master or Ph.D degree in a relevant field.
2. Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor project/initiative teams and develop junior resources.
3. Possesses thought leadership in the area of Data Architecture with the ability leverage this knowledge to communicate and influence others at a peer and senior levels.
