As a Staff Accountant you are a vital member of a finance team responsible for managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The position requires accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and customer transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. With proficiency in accounting software like SAP R3 and strong communication skills, Staff Accountants play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and supporting the overall financial health of Hikvision USA, Inc.

What are the essential job functions
Accounts Payable
  • Provide timely and accurate recording based on vendor invoices received in daily basis.
  • Proactively and promptly respond to telephone inquiries concerning outstanding or disputed invoices.
  • Ensure on time process on external vendor's invoices due to inventory, expense, fixed asset and services procurement.
  • Reconcile supplier monthly statements to ensure all invoices have been received and processed.
  • Maintain assigned areas of responsibility as required, ensuring supplier accounts are current.
  • Follow through on invoices routed for approval to ensure timely and accurate entry in financial book.
  • Ensure accurate coding to the general ledger in accordance with company policy.
  • Exhibit consistent professional customer service-oriented demeanor. Assist management and internal team with vendor issues, data entry, audit requests, and other projects as needed.
  • Post monthly recurring journal entries and accruals.
  • Ensure on time month end closing AP including AP aging and all related accounts reconciliations and analysis.
  • Prepare and perform preliminary review of monthly operating expenses and analysis of fluctuations.
  • Prepares monthly expense budget.
  • Prepare and process 1099's and 571-L.
  • Assist supervisor to complete company yearly budget with communicating various internal departments in accordance with group KPI target setting requirement.
  • Maintain vendor files.
  • Maintain credit application files.
  • Be responsible for archiving accounting document, instructing and monitoring accounting temp to keep the archiving job done in timely manner.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
Accounts Receivable
  • Responsible for all aspects of the full cycle accounts receivable and incoming cash flow.
  • Prepare all invoices and credit memos completely and accurately, daily and monthly.
  • Process and manage any transactions need to be cancelled or reversed.
  • Record and post daily cash receipts via EFT, check, credit card, and update with customer and internal teams account statement in weekly basis.
  • Reconcile merchant statement monthly.
  • Process and record all incoming funds.
  • Work with business associates, customer service team and warehouse team to follow-up on pending invoices or credit memos systematically.
  • Prepare and monitor accounts receivable aging report, communicates with internal team and customers to ensure timely collection.
  • Manage and resolve all customers' billing questions and reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure on time month end closing and reconciliation of accounts receivables and all related accounts to GL and prepare an AR reporting package.
  • Bank reconciliation at the month end.
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Assist external CPA firm for multi-states sales and use tax filings and maintain a complete database of customers' credit info and seller's permit or resale certificate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting field.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.
  • Ability to communicate with others in an effective and concise manner.
  • Ability to analyze data and information.
  • Advanced level PC skills to include MS Office and MS Project.
What Else We Look For (Preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting field.
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3
  • Mandarin Fluency
  • Experience in electronics distribution industry and e-commerce field.

This position is on-site at our City of Industry, California location.
What is the compensation and benefits
The base pay range for Staff Accountant position is $66,560.00 - $87,300.00 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
