Based in Toledo, Ohio since 2009, GEM Energy is a comprehensive provider of sustainable energy solutions. And as a member of the Rudolph Libbe Group of companies, we have design/build capabilities and a host of other services to steer your energy project from concept and development to construction and all the way through commissioning and maintenance.
We specialize in acting as a developer and Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contractor with significant experience both working with subcontractor partners and self-performing construction activities.
GEM Energy is on a mission to make clean energy and its workforce more accessible. In Illinois, we're looking for equity-eligible persons (EEPs) who are interested in starting a career in this industry.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR EEP
- Persons whose primary residence is in an equity investment-eligible community.
- Persons who are graduates of the foster care system.
- Persons who were formerly incarcerated.
- Graduate of a FEJA Solar Pipeline Training Program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist project managers and estimators with the following:
- Strict adherence to Rudolph Libbe Group safety practices and procedures
- Project planning and implementation of activities
- Procurement of labor, materials, and equipment
- Document control including submittals, methods statements, safety reports, drawing logs and associated tracking processes
- Meeting minutes development and updates
- Subcontractor coordination
- Estimating
- Contracts administration
- Cost control
- Sales/customer satisfaction
- Travel to jobsites as required by PM and/or superintendents
SKILLS
- Strong technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to be dynamic, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and respond quickly to requests of customers, superintendents, and construction partners
- Working knowledge of blueprints and construction specifications preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to adapt to unique job requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
- Experience in the construction industry preferred
