Development Manager, Managed Operations

AWS Utility Computing (UC) is seeking a Development Manager, Managed Operations to support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. The successful candidate will lead a team of software development engineers, manage complex engineering problems and tooling efforts, and foster a results-driven environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on large, cross-organizational projects and initiatives for one of the largest Cloud providers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and deep customer affinity.

Basic qualifications:

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers.
