The Senior Product (Brand) Manager, Frozen Category Delivery will help shape the category vision, key strategic initiatives and annual plan delivery for the Frozen category. Scope includes building, coordinating and executing plans to deliver sales and profit objectives for the Zatarain’s, Cholula and other McCormick brands participating in the Frozen category, including base business growth strategy, innovation, category productivity and continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Product Manager will act as the Marketing lead for Integrated Business Planning, which includes monthly forecasting, business review and financial deliverables for the Frozen Category. This role reports to the Marketing Director, Frozen, Rice and Seafood Categories.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Frozen Category P&L
- Conduct landscape assessments to identify actionable growth areas for McCormick brands in the Frozen Category and shape into commercial building blocks that deliver growth through base business, innovation, advertising and trade promotion
- Develop and implement Annual Plans for the Frozen Category
- Partnership with Category Design lead in development, internal alignment and execution of Category strategy and execution, including designing winning products for the Club channel
- Partner with Demand Planning, Finance, Trade Marketing and other functional areas as appropriate to lead Integrated Business Planning for the Frozen category
- Responsible for delivery of forecast accuracy objectives and risk and opportunity tracking
- Create monthly business review (MBR) that highlights key performance insights and recommendations on actions needed
- Lead cross-functional teams (project management) for a variety of project types including innovation launches and continuous improvement
- Utilize internal and external data, including syndicated data, to understand category, competitive and brand issues and opportunities and provide action plans to address
- Develop and deliver presentations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Exercise discretion regarding strategic recommendations, data and sources, analytic conclusions, and financial recommendations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related discipline
- 5 years of sales or marketing experience in consumer products or related field
- Demonstrated relevant skills & results in consumer-packaged goods marketing, brand planning, building and running brand business
- Strong analytical and project leadership experience with ability to manage multiple projects
- Expertise in Circana key stroking, analysis, and insights leading to recommendations
- Sound understanding of market research principles and practices, business & brand planning, advertising, finance, promotional activities and consumer communications
- Sound understanding of Marketing principles and practices (functional expert) and a basic knowledge in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
- In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and with other functional areas such as Sales
- Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape
- Strong personal & team leadership, business savvy, strategic thinking, influence, communication, and teamwork skills, including experience leading cross-functional teams
