Director of Sales, Key Accounts

The Director of Sales, Key Accounts is a critical position in overseeing and managing the company’s sales strategies and relationships with key national accounts and stakeholders. This person plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for key accounts aligned with the company's goals and revenue targets.
  2. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
  3. Identify opportunities for growth within key accounts and develop strategies to expand the business relationship.
  4. Lead efforts in identifying and acquiring new key accounts, leveraging market trends, industry knowledge, and networking to drive sales growth.
  5. Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with key account partners, ensuring they align with company objectives.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and other departments to align strategies and support the needs of key accounts.
  7. Develop and maintain sales forecasts, analyze performance data, and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies for key accounts.
  8. Utilize data insights to optimize sales processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities related to key accounts.
  10. Manage the department store and grocery channels.
  11. Understand the needs of key accounts and ensure they are met.
  12. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and market changes affecting key accounts, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  13. Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales professionals to drive performance and achieve sales targets.
  14. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to the sales team to foster a culture of high performance and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  2. Proven track record in sales leadership roles, preferably with experience managing key accounts in the retail industry.
  3. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  4. Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to drive strategic decision-making.
