This role offers the perfect blend of flexibility, allowing you to work remotely for two days a week while enjoying a collaborative in-office environment for three days.Position Summary:The SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for the architecture, planning, implementation, performance, maintenance, security, and support of the SQL Server environments, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.The DBA must work with application development and infrastructure to help achieve a state-of-the-art environment that meets current and future business objectives, while at the same time ensuring that the company’s production databases offer the highest reliability and performance possible.Expectations:Installs, administers, and maintains SQL Server environments.Monitors performance, tunes and optimized current SQL Server environments to ensure the availability, integrity, security, and reliability of the dataReviews and recommends improvements to existing data server architecture.Monitors and manages users and applications data access across multiple environments.Develops, maintains and tests SQL Server backups and disaster recovery procedures.Implements and maintains capacity planning procedures for SQL Server environments.Able to deploy packages and troubleshoot issues with SSIS packagesAble to deploy RDLs and troubleshoot issues with SSRSMaintain SQL Database compliance with versioning and security patchesRobust knowledge of SQL Server backups, recovery, and user securityKnowledge of TDE Encryption implementation and maintenanceResearches and evaluates hardware and/or software.Optimizes current SQL processes.Provides day-to-day support for SQL Server environments.Provides Change Management support, including reviewing/approving and implementing changes that affect databases.Maintains database instances across multiple operating environments. Move, rebuild, or change database objects as required in production.General working knowledge of physical data models, technical architecture, and system interfaces.Develops and tests database migration procedures.Establishes database procedures and standards; assists in database and data related process design.Documents data related processes and data server’s technical configurations.Performs other related duties as assigned and required. CompetenciesCompetencies:• Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and SSMS• Proficient with SSIS and SSRS.• Experienced with large data warehousing, data mining and data conversion projects.Requisites:• Bachelor’s Degree (experience can be in lieu of degree)• 7 or more years of experience in database administrationNice to haves:• Azure• Any DBA/ SQL CertificationsLRS is an equal opportunity employer.
