SAP S/4 O2C Commerce Functional Consultant
Job Description:
As the SAP S/4 O2C Commerce Functional Consultant, you will be responsible partnering the client workstream lead to support the Global Template design in place for their S4Hana migration from ECC.You will collaborate with a team of experts to ensure a smooth and successful migration of the data relevant to this workstream and support testing of the business process with the solution.
***You must be able to be at client site a minimum of 3 full workdays located in Clark, NJ.***
Pillars of the Commerce Workstream – what is the focus of this area:
Work to develop and manage Vendor communications related to the impacts to the project will have on the vendor processes, partnering with all the divisions to ensure requirements are clearly captured
Collaborate cross functional team as the Commerce workstream intercepts with the other SAP workstreams: P2P, F2S, O2C Operations and R2R
Understand the Commercial (TWWT = The Way We Trade) Roadmap processes and work with the team and cross functionally to ensure the Global Template will meet the business process, work to highlight opportunities and collaborate to define and resolve.
Engage with the relevant Parallel Project Workstreams, there are over 30 concurrent projects in the ecosystem that can potentially intercept, have dependencies and visa-versa, be sure these are identified and tracked.
The design and governance of Customer Hierarchy based on the new organizational structure
Support and engage with Business Cutover tasks and activities as this is a high touchpoint area impacting the customer and vendors as the solution nears go-live date; planning and the right / timely communication needs to be a priority in this area
Data Migration Activities – working with the data team and the business experts to cleanse the data and prepare the data accurately for migration to support testing and go-live
Pricing and Rebates (SD Contracts) – ensuring all processes and data relevant to Pricing and Rebates are captured, actioned, tested
S4 Commercial Analytics and pBI workstream development and requirements
On-off invoice processes – defining and understanding the new Global Template solution and working to ensure all process are captured and tested and the cross functional teams are involved.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, processes, and objectives related to the Order to Cash Commerce workstream.
Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies related to the workstream and partner with the leads to work on resolutions
Create and maintain your own workplan for deliverables related to the overall project to ensure your workstream and you personally meet the project milestones.
Provide recommendations for business process ways of working with the adoption of the Global Template and work to understand the solution options based on prior implementation experience.
Reach out to the other countries to learn how they overcame some of the barriers and defined new ways work working to adapt to the Global template
Based on prior project implementations ask questions to ensure aspects of the business process and solution are being considered
Support the adoption of the established Global Template for S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with best practices and global standards.
Assist in data cleansing efforts, including master data, pricing and transactional data.
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and reconciliation processes during the migration with partnership with the Data Team.
Work with the NEO Project team within the workstream, cross functionally and with the Testing Team to ensure the Test Scripts and Test Cases have been updated to reflect the US nuances
Encourage planning of test execution
Support re-testing efforts
Document all test defect in detail to ensure the Solution Team can work to resolve.
Conduct user acceptance testing, UAT, Business Simulations to ensure comprehensive understanding of the new processes especially for end users.
Collaborate with the Adoption Team on validation of training and adaption materials to support the business users’ adaption of new ways of working
Work closely with the Technology Team, Functional Team, Security Team, Global Team, and vendor partners to execute the conversion project. (Act as a sparring partner and provide strategic advice.)
Adapt to ambiguity and bring order to the workstream, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Requirements:
Strong business processes, ecommerce and last mile mindset
SAP certification SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in SAP projects, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA, commerce experience preferred.
Strong understanding of business processes; vendor and customer relationships relative to S/4HANA.
Global scale experience is a plus.
Strong Project Management Skills: able to create and maintain a detail workplan that aligns with the overall Project milestones and Go-Live
Ability to influence without authority, lead meetings with objectives and results, engage with stakeholders, and communicate effectively both written and verbal communication
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, must be fluent in English, understanding French is a plus.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Must be able to travel to New Jersey for 3 days per week; potential travel to Paris, would need current Passport or applicable Visa
Be on camera for meetings via MS Teams.
