Our client is a dedicated non-profit organization in Philadelphia, focused on making a meaningful impact in the community.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Grant Accountant to join their team. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with grant regulations and supporting our organization through various audit processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant management and auditing, particularly within non-profit organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support uniform guidance audits (OMB-133) and program-specific audits.
  • Assist with financial statement audits, ensuring accurate disclosure of grant-related transactions.
  • Lead the audit-related processes, including creating and submitting audit schedules and reports.
  • Gather and prepare documentation, communicate deadlines, and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Conduct testing of internal controls related to federal award compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Controller and other team members to streamline audit functions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in grant accounting or public auditing, preferably within non-profit organizations.
  • Familiarity with FASB standards and compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an "inspector gadget" mentality to address data discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
