Aloha! We are a new mental health clinic seeking a Director of Therapy Services who lives in Maui to join our team in the heart of Wailuku serving Maui community members. Our clinic provides individual and family-centered, evidence-based interventions focused on improving clinical symptoms and functioning for persons of all ages to develop to their highest potential.
Job Purpose: To serve our Maui community in providing much needed mental health services consisting of mental health assessment and diagnosis, collaborative treatment planning, evidence-based psychotherapy, treatment progress monitoring, and discharge/transition planning.
Primary Function: To provide clinical and administrative supervision to the therapy staff of Island Mind Therapy LLC. This duty shall also include providing mentorship and clinical supervision for unlicensed clinical social workers, mental health counselors, and marriage and family therapists who are working towards their licensure.
Secondary Functions: To assist clinic leadership with the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring of the clinic's programs, services, and activities. Additionally, this position may involve maintaining a clinical caseload or providing clinical coverage. When maintaining a caseload, this position will provide mental health clinical services, including mental health assessment and diagnosis, as well as individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy to individuals served by the clinic.
Necessary Qualifications - Education, Licensure, and Experience:
- Must meet the educational requirements for licensure and possess a current State of Hawaii license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist.
- Three years of experience treating individuals with mental illness is preferred.
- Three years of clinical leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience serving a diverse community and understanding of cultural sensitivity as it applies to services and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with computer hardware, internet-based applications, electronic health record systems, teleconferencing software (Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, etc.), and word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications (Microsoft Office 365).
