The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of staffing and scheduling for nursing services within the SNF and supports those functions administratively. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.
Other duties:
- Compiles weekly staffing sheets, maintains the list of employees requesting position and shift changes, fills staffing vacancies, contacts agency to fill vacancies, and manages daily staffing concerns.
- Computes daily PPD for nursing department.
- Assists Employee Health, Nursing Education, and Human Resources in contacting employees to arrange for annual physicals and in-services.
- Performs clerical support, including typing and distributing materials to the nursing units.
- Assists in completion of time and attendance logs.
- Updates and maintains work schedule.
- Maintains databases and other computerized files and records.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Licenses/Certification: N/A
Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of clerical training (Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel - are a plus)
