Job Summary
Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education, experience, and training to continually develop & maintain strategic enterprise architecture that aligns with the business domain and functional capabilities. Drives architecture and provides execution intelligence in delivering enterprise-scale platforms as a core service. Enables the development of integrated systems required to satisfy business information needs. Influences strategic direction and develops tactical plans and completes complex assignments with substantial latitude for actions or decisions. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex issues and problems. Defines, oversees, and maintains the architectural integrity of the overall technology solution of a project, product, or system. Works with Application Architects to proactively manage the application portfolio and enable simplification and faster time to market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Both a strategic & hands-on role, this role drives enterprise architecture that aligns with both business and technology strategy. Manages a team of highly skilled Enterprise Architects; sets clear architecture vision and roadmap and is a trusted partner within and across teams.
• Responsible for driving teams to decompose enterprise architecture into solution, application, and information domains for key transformational initiatives. Leads comprehensive Architecture Reviews on key programs utilizing both business and technical domain expertise to ensure the realization of target state roadmap.
• Collaborates with Business / Information / Domain Architects and Developer Leads with bi-directional knowledge sharing.
• Drives adaption of architectural patterns, design policies, code quality and resiliency across the organization.
• Drives innovation and R&D initiatives to solve complex business problems and changing technical landscape.
• Publishes and Evangelizes Reference Architecture across organization.
• Assesses and ensures conformance to architectural standards, reduction of technical debt, and adaption of enterprise assets (systems, services and information) for key programs.
• Aligns with SDLC processes, product management and technology review groups to enforce IT check gates and Architectural Governance; Adept in Architectural frameworks and methodologies.
• Drives technical product lifecycle including upgrade, retirement and replacement of core technical bricks.
• Defines strategic direction and develops tactical plans. Works with application and infrastructure teams to provision platform components.
• Expertise in influencing business and technology stakeholders across the organization, effective in leading change and passionate about mentoring technology leads.
• Effectively identifies opportunities for change, implements change and introduces new concepts, procedures, policies and tools while providing a clear explanation of benefits and purpose.
• Leads community of application architects to simplify application portfolio, create well defined interfaces and create platforms that enable developers to implement faster business outcomes.

Qualifications Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in architecting and building high performance enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Experience in application portfolio management tooling and mapping to business / technical capabilities.
• Expert knowledge/experience in the following strongly preferred:
• Distributed architectures, Object Oriented, Event Driven and Streaming paradigms.
• Hands-on experience in developing Microservices, Spring Boot-based API’s, Node, Distributed Caching and Messaging/Streaming technologies.
• Domain modeling, System Design and Integration patterns.
• Experience in highly responsive user interfaces and Single-Page Application frameworks.
• Experience in enterprise security paradigms such as access control, authorization, encryption etc.
• Well-versed in relational / non-relational data stores.
• Profiling and performance optimization - threading, memory management, container optimization etc.
• Experience in Cloud native technologies and continuous delivery processes.
• Financial Industry / Wealth Management Background preferred.
• May work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.
