Position Description
Position Overview:
The Sr. Manager of Innovation is an experienced technologist whose primary functions are to lead our innovation lab, drive innovation, and manage the day-to-day operations of the lab. The Sr. Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and county stakeholders to identify new opportunities, develop, and implement new products and services, and support the development of the overall innovation strategy for Harris County.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Design, or a related field or significant experience in technology management.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology management, product development, or related fields.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
- Drive to innovate and facilitate innovation.
- Experience in managing budgets and resources.
- Ability to think creatively and critically and identify opportunities for new ideas.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience working with external partners and vendors.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the innovation space.
- Excellent project management and outstanding communication skills.

Automatic Disqualification:
- Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for any Felony, and any Class A Misdemeanor.
- Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for a Class B Misdemeanor, if within the previous 10 years.
- Open arrest for any criminal offense (Felony or Misdemeanor).
- Family Violence conviction.
