Overview
We’re looking for a dynamic salesperson to join CORT’s Workplace team covering the thriving Chicago area. This person must be a self-starter, competitive, and a networker who thrives in a fast-paced environment providing solutions to a wide variety of clients.
The Workplace Business Development Executive focuses on providing commercial furnishing solutions to clients for short-term needs. These clients include commercial real estate, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, energy, finance/insurance, entertainment, office furniture dealers, and modular companies.
Work primarily from home supported by a design team, project coordinator, and local operation/distribution team. Engage with customers virtually and in person to close new business, identify client needs, and build upon existing business.
This is considered an outside sales position; you will meet with customers in person and drive up to 5 days a week.
Pay: Salary $75,000 / per year plus commission, OTE $110,000 - $120,000.

Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed revenue goals
- Prospect to obtain potential clients
- Build referral relationships through strategic networking
- Act as a client liaison (end-to-end) while collaborating with space planning, client services, and operations
- Specify CORT furnishing for short and long-term needs
- Maintain client activities in CRM (Salesforce)
- Work proficiently across a variety of technology platforms
- Weekly and monthly reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years outside B2B sales experience.
- Successfully meets/exceeds goals
- New business prospecting and networking experience
- Strong communication skills, written and oral
