Power Plant Operator

Location: Half-Moon Bay, California

Compensation: $40+ p/h + Yearly bonus + Over-time/On-call (1.5x rate)

Relocation: Available relocation assistance/sign-on bonus

A leading cleantech company specializing in renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions is seeking a Power Plant Operator and/or Mechanic Technician for their renewable power plant in Northern California. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of power plant operations, controls (PLC, HMI, SCADA), automotive/diesel mechanics, or related fields, though direct experience is not required.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily operations of a landfill gas-to-energy power plant
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of engines and equipment
• Using maintenance databases and control systems
• Coordinating with contractors
• Conducting inspections and compliance checks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of equipment operations experience
• Valid driver's license
